About me

People ask me about the name of my blog and the Radish part.  I used radishes because they are visual attractive, round and red. And when old, they are old a little caustic and biting.   Sometimes that is me

I live in Northeastern Florida, and I moved here from Puget Sound of Washington.   My subject matter is always in flux.  I go through different crazes and my blog goes with me.  I enjoy food, photography, I love my family, and I am creative always.  I write about life.   Lately I have included some politics and religion.

September 5, 2013

Last night Fox had a program on September 11.  I looked at it for a while, on the thought that I should remember the horror of what happened.  The photos have not improved over the years.   The story is still the same and has the same ending.  There were no rewrites.  Several survivors talked and there was a remarkable story about one man saving another.  As I remember, one man was at his desk when the plane came through his floor and the wing of the jet landed right by him. He was able to crawl away from the plane and some man pulled him over a wall so they were able to get to a stair well and get to the ground.  Even with this good story theme running through the program, I could watch only half.  I went to my computer and drugged myself with solitaire.

Wow! Powerful post! I feel obligated to watch 9/11 programs and I can never forget so much that is branded in my mind on that day and the days that followed. I may link back to your post when I blog about my thoughts...
